We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher with high academic promise to work on developing a new optical imaging concept.

This is a 4 year project sponsored by the Science and Engineering Research Council (UK) under the Basic Technology Research Programme and involves collaboration with the Universities of Bristol and St. Andrews and Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.

You will have a keen interest in developing new physical ideas from the proof-of-principle stage to practical applications. A background in optics and opto-electronics is required. Experience in scanning microscopies, nano-science and computational physics will be an advantage. The ability to work as part of a highly interactive research team is essential.

The length of the initial appointment is 24 months, with a possibility for further extension and excellent opportunities to progress.
